8. What foods do you dislike? I don't like truffles. They taste like feet. I also don't like bittermelon. It's disgusting.

quick update

just talked to anthony and he forgot that it's game 4 tonight so we've pushed up my workout to 5 p.m! thank GAWD.
and for my cousin danny who commented on my last blog, this is why california and florida shouldn't even have hockey teams in the NHL! they don't even know what the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is going on! why do they have NHL teams there then? who is filling up their seats? aren't they all watching american football and the nba????

Proposal to bring the NHL back to Winnipeg and to bring back the Nordiques!

so anthony left a voice message on my cell phone yesterday and of course, i didn't hear it till this morning because i never hear or check my cell phone. anyway, he said we can have our first workout tonight at 7pm.

tonight? the hockey game is on tonight at 7:30! WTF
do I eat before or after our workout?
how long are we going to workout?
no wonder he's so fit - he doesn't care about NHL playoffs! he works out all the time regardless! we'll be the only two people at the gym tonight. WTF.

friday night, jason and i went to his cousin's place to watch the hockey game and play poker. one of the "regulars" for poker night was there and she looked fantab. absolutely! she said she lost 20 pounds because of anthony (jason's cousin). she hired him to be her personal trainer and she lost 20 pounds since Jan. 7th. that's amazing!

so of course, i started reflecting on my own weight. the last 4 years i've put on some considerable extra poundage. 15 lbs to be exact. so instead of drowning my sorrows in a tub of ice cream and bag of cheetos, i decided to do something about it! i called anthony up yesterday and he's giving me a "family discount" - $100 for the whole shebang. he'll train me till i reach my goal, workout with me 2 times a week and set up a program and diet for me. that's not bad! :o)

this is the weirdest shit i've ever seen. it's a tv show or something from the philippines, about a filipino midget cop, who kills people with his razorblade hat and he seems to get all the ladies!
The midget cop's name? not Jhun Jhun, Beng Beng, Bong Bong or Ting Ting. The protagonist's name is: WENG WENG

o gawd, that's the ugliest name. and for a midget too? poor guy.

This past weekend I bought the staple little black dress that every woman "should" have in their closet. The most flattering dress I've ever had. It looks like this:

the best part is that it has pockets. Whoever designed this dress gets a hug from me because that is a fantastic idea. Kudos to banana republic for designing this dress!

This past weekend I also went to Malone's with friends to watch Game 6. Terrible terrible game. Lou, Tobes and I decided to go home shortly after. Since Jason stayed at the bar, I got to go home and watch Amelie for the 10 millionth time with the director's commentary.

Jason and I also bought our plane tickets to London this September. We've decided to go to Dublin from London, meet our friend Shiralle at some point and then drive with her down the coast to Kerry area, which is where she lives. I'm so excited to go on a eurotrip this year!! And I'm going with Jason this time...so that will be quite an adventure I would think!

Last night was brilliant! Our Canucks won Game 7 and are now heading into Round 2 against the Disney Ducks. Yes that's what I call them. That's what happens when you name your team after some kid's movie. The west end was up and at em last night, cheering, screaming and honking till the wee hours of the morning. Usually I'd be screaming at them out my window, possibly throwing eggs at the noisemakers, but since it was for the Canucks.......WELL!........that's totally acceptable.

Slowly realizing that my birthday is coming up. Plans for the day are up in limbo. Not quite sure yet how I want to ring in the 28th year. Possibly something smaller, nothing huge. Just good eats, good company and lots of booze. (which pretty much sounds like all my other birthdays.....)

the houseparty was in east van so i invited my friend donna to come since she lives just down the street. she asked if she could invite alexis, this girl from our high school, and i said, sure the more the merrier.
i must say, after meeting just one person i haven't seen in 10 years, i don't want to meet anyone else from my high school. she started playing the "that's your boyfriend" game at the party (where you point at an unattactive man and tell your friends, "that's your boyfriend! ha ha ha) and i looked at her like she was a leper. seriously. 10 years later and you're still playing that game?
she was a total drag. being all judgmental at the party -- i was close to saying, "who are you to judge? you chose to buy a condo in surrey and no one takes the piss out of you for that!"
i would rather live in a 400 sq ft apartment downtown than live in slurrey.

that invite to my 10 yr hs reunion has been chucked in the garbage. besides, the event is not even interesting -- a tea party?? i have to sit with these women for 3 hours over tea and crumpets? the person organizing this event is just as boring now as she was 10 years ago.

weekend of debauchery

last friday i wrote my final for business interruption insurance and was not impressed with myself, so off to the local bar i went and met up with friends for drinks. San and i were invited to a houseparty saturday night by one of the waiters so we took the address down and said that maybe we'd drop by.
saturday night we stopped by our neighbor's flat for a wine and appy party which was OK except for the fact that 80% of the people at the party had or needed a walking cane. then, jctoth and i drove over to sandy's and picked her up to go to the houseparty.
this house we went to was filthy. it was disgusting. there was crap all over the floor, a hole in the wall, nasty. didn't want to sit anywhere. HOWEVER the people at the party were a lot of fun, the tenants of the house were all australian rugby players. wowsas. as you can see i'm skipping at the details.
sunday jtoth and i had friends over to watch the hockey game - GO NUCKS GO - and lover made 3 yummy pizzas from scratch. i was worried i wouldn't have much to say to our friend's wife who came, and i was right. she wasn't interested in the hockey game and i was so in between periods or calls, i would make some futile small talk with her.
today, right now, i'm at the office and am swamped with work, since i was away for most of last week. emails up the ying yang. files up the wazoo.

anyway, there's a brief update on what i've been up to...
i've got to go cut my apple up into bitesized pieces now.
